Help with kitchen tiles, please
Comments (18)Homebase does some great porcelain tiles - Luna. The beige (also available in black but won't recommend) one will work well with your units I think. You can use the 300x600 size for the wall and the 400x400 for floor. They are not expensive at all, we paid only around £12/m when we did our bathroom in the old flat, hope the photos below show. Be aware they are very difficult to drill though. The word porcelain says it all! :). For the splash black though, it's been my dream to have a coloured glass one, any colour will go well with your neutrally coloured units. So if you managed to save a bit on floor tiles, I'd use the savings on glass. All the best!...See MoreHelp with kitchen please
Comments (33)Hi linen check fabric looks good but would be concerned tattle clunch might look green in some light ! It might be better with white tie if you like the creamy colour or stony ground. It's very difficult to give you advice without having the samples of wallpaper and wood worktop in front of me I do sometimes goggle rooms or kitchens painted in farrow and ball white tie for example lots of images come up it also might be worth calling farrow and ball direct as they offer a great service on the tel for free Am assuming you are using an water based eggshell from farrow and ball and not colour matching the paint !otherwise all your work will be in vain as colour matching paint will never be the same as buying the paint from farrow and ball Advice don't paint the wall in any farrow and ball tester pots paint some lining paper or card board then you can move the board around the room and see the colour in different day light and in the evening in artificial light. Also means you can then save your £3.50 pot on the board ready to use in another room or lend to a friend. If you paint squares of colours all over the wall then it will only confuse you and it's difficult to paint over Farrow and ball paint is brilliant but never colour match Best of luck wish I could help you further Lindsey...See MoreNeed help with kitchen,
Comments (3)I would avoid a hardwood floor in the kitchen area. Any grease spilled on it would be slippery. Have you looked at LVT instead? When you say mocha cabinets is that the carcass colour and also the fascia colour? Popularity for granite worktops in my experience has declined in favour of quartz or solid surface....See MoreHelp with kitchen worktops please
Comments (16)Would you consider a natural stone or a porcelain like Dekton? Dekton have some really beautiful colours that lean more cream and would work really well with your existing kitchen. Have a look at the options available. https://www.cosentino.com/en-ie/colours/?utm_campaign=&utm_content=&gad_source=1 Quartz worktops (particularly white :/) are actually a lot less stain resistant than what suppliers lead you to believe, and also can chip quite easily on the edges....See More- 9 years ago
