Ok so this may sound stupid and I have no idea if it can be achieved, I am sure a lot of tradesmen on here would laugh but I’m trying to think outside of the box for a shoestring budget. So I’m a major fan of ikea hacks, you can customise furniture for so little money and you really can be quite creative. As for faking Crittall Windows........ providing this is for internal aesthetics only I would love someone to experiment with this idea in a man cave. Use the black powder coated aluminium pax wardrobe frame from ikea and get a glazier to cut the glass to required size using the ikea inserts as a template. Obviously your door widths would have to be increased but this could work against stud partitions in large apartments to separate areas of space maybe? U can all laugh at me now!

Yes that might be a solution, think I have found the company, Lerou in Belgium...just waiting to find out the cost! It has a twist handle on the other side rather than a traditional thumb latch which looks really great.

Hi RF, While they will no doubt be more expensive, I would without doubt go with Schuller or an equivalent German product, for a variety of reasons: The overall quality of carcasses will be better, even though the side pieces will most likely be 15mm rather that 18mm; The quality of manufacturing process and overall quality control from the German manufacturers is infinitely better While I could not tell without looking at the doors side by side, chances are the level of gloss from the German brands and possibly the thickness of doors will both be higher When it comes to handleless, the German producers are without doubt the experts. While I am not quite so familiar with the fine detail of Schuller's processes, my own German manufacturer individually checks each & every design right down to how rails join, whether there are end caps, whether the carcass is un-milled, fully milled or half milled (all important details for the best quality installation!) and will flag any potential issues, clashes or incompatibility with appliances etc. Designing & installing handleless kitchens is a more involved process and with very few exceptions, I have yet to see the designers or installers from Howdens & "the sheds" come anywhere close to Germanic quality. Finally, though, I would urge you to have a look at the unique rail system offered by Omega Kitchens through their Mackintosh brand. They use a different, flat rail system which has been very well received by our customers, particularly with their high gloss lacquered "Oblique" door - an extra thick, extremely glossy lacquered door sourced in Italy yet still at an amazingly low price group. They have one of the best carcasses in the business, excellent back up support and very good guarantees on carcasses, doors & hinges/fixings. You also get a better range of carcass colour/woodgrain options, extra depth wall units etc. In fact, after using them (and another UK supplier) increasingly for those kitchens we would have historically put to the Germans, we find there is little they can't do at least as well as, if not better! And remedials come in but a few days - compared to weeks, if sourcing from Germany. Whoever you choose, I would certainly ensure you hire a good quality fitter with a decent reputation for fitting handleless - and check out their previous work!
