It's not so much that it's difficult, it's a bit time consuming as you have to have enough of the wood ( spare drawer fronts ) to make a cupboard door with. In fact you probably will need extra wood that matches as you need a frame for the door, if not for that but definitely for inside to deck out the new cupboard. Same applies to the smaller one. Thankfully it's raw pine, so it's very easily available. You will of course have a bit of extra wood from the hole that you cut for the sink, so the carpenter may be able to utilise that for the door! It also has to be finished with something waterproof by the way!

Aqua would look amazing with a white kitchen, but I think an off white would go beautifully with midnight blue. Something like F&B All White. I think Slaked Lime by Little Green would also go nicely too. My sister has a charcoal-navy kitchen and she chose the palest of greys and it does look good. The last picture shows Slaked Lime with navy.

I would say it’s the same for any floor covering. If you think you might want to change things in the kitchen in the future and keep the flooring then l’d go to the wall. If you’re using budget grade lino (and l know nothing is cheap these days) then it’s fine to just flick under the plinths without going all the way under the base units thereby keeping purchase costs down. Swings and roundabout scenario really.

Thank you - il be honest i found buying a house easier! ive got a lot of health stuff going on and i need to get this done and dusted. i like the wood effect worktops but im not sure as the kitchen is north west facing and there is a conservatory attached to it which diminishes the light somewhat. there is just so much choice out there and in my 64 years all the houses I've lived in either came with the kitchen or in my new build where i am now, i had a few choices, not a few hundred! i think glass splashbacks are a bit too modern for me plus pricey i expect. so if you had to make a decision would you have wood effect or marble effect worktops and splashbacks ! today is decision day or i will give up and stuck with my existing kitchen lol .
