Help on a Compact Kitchen
Comments (6)To make the most of corner cupboards, either get a blind corner with LeMans pull out or if you're on a tight budget, stick to L shaped corner cupboards so that you can still get to the back and make the space usable rather than just available. Block your tall units together away from the window to make the most of the light and use a light coloured worktop to bounce the light into the room. If you still wanted to use colour (why have a boring kitchen) you can be bold on the base units if you keep the wall units a light colour. Using downlights on the wall cupboards will bring task lighting where you need it most and if you put them on a separate electrical circuit to your ceiling lights, they can create a beautiful atmosphere to your kitchen in the evenings....See MoreNeed help decorating grey and green family room
Comments (3)Why not try a moveable bookcase on wheels in white, to help screen the Childrens play area? This can then, depending on their ages be decorated as a kind of separate area with colourful storage boxes, playmats etc in White / Green and another funky colour for fun. You could even put two back to back, one side kids, one side adults!...See MorePlease please please help with Kitchen planning

Comments (10)Hi Sally, You could wallpaper the ceiling and the wall opposite the window (or just the ceiling!) ; apply a complimentary colour to the other three (or all) walls and another colour for the cornicing, architraves and skirting to make these a bit of a feature. You could also replace the current curtains with full length ones that stack back further from the window to make it appear bigger and conceal the radiator. I think mid tone blues would make the room appear slightly cold, I would go for dark blues/ greys/rich browns. Farrow&Ball have a sumptuous selection of wallpapers and suggested complimentary paint colours so this could be a good place to start. I think these would look amazing in your living room: Feature Ceiling in Ocelot Wallpaper This is would look rather fabulous on the ceiling: Amime Wallpaper Good luck!
