Splashback help!
Comments (53)Just to offer a different view point. Your floor tiles look amazing. Why not flow the idea through and use tiles of that ilk as your splashblack. We have just recently finished a kitchen with a similar feel and our client opted for patterned wall tiles as their splashback. Based on your comment about the floor being chosen to banish boredom If you are worried about carrying through more of the same tones and want to inject colour, you could always do this through your accessories, that way if you fancy a change.... The colour tones you have chosen provide a great canvas on which to complement or have fun with colour....See MoreJumbo slabs of Quartz.
Comments (3)We offer a huge range of marble-like quartz materials that you may like the look of. Silestone offer some of their colours in jubo slabs which are 325x159cm: Ariel, Lyra, Lagoon, Blanco Orion & Heliz are just a few of the marble like options they have available. Some others to look at would be the Technistone - Noble Carrara & Noble Supreme White. Santamargherita - Lyskamm, Quartzforms - Veined Michelangelo & Impreial White. Dekton - Aura, Entzo & Kairos. Compac - Carrara. Cimstone - Olympos. Caesarstone - Calacatta Nuvo. These are all 3m and over. Hope this helps, all of these brands have websites if you wanted to see the different colours. I'm not sure where you are based but we have samples of all of these colours in our showroom which is in Kirk Langley, Derbyshire....See MoreNew fitted Kitchen...wrong colours.
Comments (17)Hi, I too wouldn't tile and would simply leave the upstands. I would remove the cream splashback and replace with a Blue (similar to what is posted above) coloured splashback. Alternatively a splashback In a similar finish and colour to worktop can be raised upto the wall units to give a seamless, easy to clean splashback. I think one of the major issues, in terms of aesthetics, with this kitchen is the cool cream paired with the warmer brown which is fighting against the white of the walls and flooring. I would paint the walls a shade of brown (dark or light) which tonally works with the cabinets and worktop and accessorise with teals and mustards. Alternativly you can use a neutral coloured glass splashback paired with orange accessories, blinds and even a feature wall to draw the eye away from the kitchen. If you can change the flooring to a wood effect vinyl, IMO, the overall look will be improved....See Morequartz worktop Join
Comments (37)Hello again! I have now had the new worktop fitted and I’m really pleased with it :). It looks how I thought it should and the join is where my hob will be fitted (hopefully this afternoon) so not noticeable at all. The seam looks more obvious in the photo than it does on the eye but in all honestly it’s fab! Thank you all for your comments and advice, appreciated x...See More- 8 years ago
