I have finally decided to go for a darker colour (velvet evening ) in my dining room , which is off the kitchen/sunroom . I have woken up this morning though and wonder whether I should continue painting all the walls or keep a few neutral
It's looking very lovely - nice selection of colours going on there. Perhaps you should ask yourself how you want the space to feel. The way you have it now it looks light and bright, calm and relaxing, but not at all boring because of the colour and textures you have added. To continue with the paint would change the atmosphere, perhaps to a more intimate, cosy place which would be quite dark during the day, but you would be able to accessorise with lots of lamps, candles and add a pop of a brighter colours for a vibrant effect - it would be a great evening space. You could also think in terms of zoning your space, for example, If you use your dining area mainly for dinners you might want to paint the walls surrounding that in the dark colour, to give you the cosy intimate feel, but then leave your morning sun room area lighter?
We love the contrast of velvet evening and white. The only walls that we are not sure about are the yellowish ones... could you paint them white? Add a few cushions and perhaps change a couple of pictures and the result should be great!
