Kitchen colour scheme

After great help from people here on my kitchen layout the other day I'm now trying to narrow the colour scheme down.
Most Pinterest/instagram photos of in-frame painted style kitchens tend to be very light for both units and walls.

I know the colours I like but I'm struggling to work out whether to go dark on the units and light on the walls or the other way around.

I've toyed with f&b railings for units, ammonite walls, white or speckled grey worksurface,
Or, ammonite units, white or speckled grey surface, darker walls (not as dark as railings but inchyra blue / green smoke or similar).

The photo shows railing wood sample, pale grey wood sample (but not quite pale enough, so favouring ammonite), white Corian, grey specked Corian, and my preferred wood floor colours for parquet style.

Any tips or help in narrowing this decision process down?
Obviously they both give quite different looks even though it's the same palette.
I'm not afraid of dark or strong colour, I've used quite a few elsewhere, but because this is not just walls it's big expensive kitchen units I'm really panicking about messing it up!
