Hi Kyle. Can you move the furniture you're selling into another room temporarily and try rearranging the furniture to see what space you're actually left with so you can measure it out properly? I might be wrong but it looks as if the only other place the sofa can go is in front of the sideboard, it looks by eye as if it would be too deep to go on the RHS of the fire? Has your partner actually found tables he likes?

Hi There, What a lovely space! I really like the way you are using the footstool as a coffee table already - it’s a really functional way of extra storage and seating in one. A suggestion would be to go for something that works with the traditional elements of the space, but has a bit of a contemporary edge too. This table form John Lewis has a beautiful warm wood tone that would pick up the colours in your sideboards. I'm not sure about the Ikea one due to the black frame although I have seen this sprayed in a gold/brass finish which looked good. The middle one is my favourite. As the sideboard and chest are boxy a couple of round tables would also look good, there are loads around including the "interlocking" ones.

I think it just has that furniture showroom feel as you don't have any accessories in the seating space as your room is lovely.. I agree add a tray and accessorise it. I think 1 or 2 more cushions would help and maybe a small throw over the chaise. Even just adding a brass floor lamp in that corner helps. in the future I might also add a side table between the sofa and chair and add a tall table lamp . Excuse the style in the photos btw
