Radiator colour

You can see we still have a long way to go with our kitchen extension but I need to make a decision on the colour of the radiator. We will have a vertical modern one here (between the two doors) and need a wall light above it (not a down light one, that would be weird ) I'm not even sure of the wall colours yet but the doors will be matt white either side, the kitchen cabinets are a sage colour - along the wall on the right side of this room, I want to paint them but not sure how well we'll manage it - but I won't keep the walls white. I haven't worked out the design of anything else yet (not very good at this) I think white rads are the safe option and perhaps more classic but I'm worried about it fading to a yellowy colour and that looking obvious next to white doors (which I suppose could also fade). Also the white rad would be gloss. I love anthracite radiators but worried it will date and cut the space in half? This is an open plan kitchen/ diner loving space and the same radiator will be in the sitting area too (which is behind the wall on the left). And when we look towards that rad we can see through doors to the front room/ lounge and out to the white windows at the front of the house. I know it's not a great photo.
So - is white classic and will open the space but will gloss be too much and will it fade?
Is anthracite going to cut the space in half, will it date, does it restrict wall colour?

Thanks for reading my rambling.
