Cloakroom with a green floor

Ok- this is my new downstairs WC floor! I think I like it, but really struggling as to what to put with it- any ideas?! (Black tap as you can see, dabbling with samples on walls eg. Pale pink, black, but still very confused!). Happy to be bold with colour- guessing by floor layer’s reaction I think we already have been!

I vote nearly black walls and ceiling with a wood framed mirror and black and white prints in white frames.
You could go overboard with a lux light fitting too.

Really like the flooring....................i'm seeing green and blush maybe with a black round mirror to take up the black on the tap. Maybe Green metro laid horizontally on the wall hung toilet and lower level wall, then blush laid vertically as a splash back. Love these tiles, mind blowingly great!

Blush walls - try 'Pink Ground' F&B great subtle blush colour.

However note crackle glaze isn't usually recommended in a wet area such as a bathroom. Although they suggest using a protector... I'd probably want to be absolutely sure they were fit for purpose! Ludo Gallagher great idea - I turned mine into a gallery, all the smaller and fun items that would have got a bit lost in a larger space ... photos, prints, postcards framed and not, 2 geckos climbing the walls, a mirror from Morocco and I add more or swap some out when I have something new. The colour is Salsa Red and the tall mirrored cabinet has lots of room for toilet paper, cleaning products and you just push to open/close so it's steam-lined and almost invisible. bombel1972 I loved your options! If I had seen them pre-decorating I may have been swayed. Love the zebras, the orange/monkeys, the tree ... thanks for sharing!

Think about lighting - we used some led uplights in our cloakroom, to give a bit of a luxury feel. There will also be simple hip high wood panelling, with wallpaper above it. The sink is a feature item too. See this not very good pic! Also, are you sure you want to change the ceramic ware? You could make a feature of the coloured stuff - be bold!

Man about the house- funnily pink ground is one of my samples! It is nice! Second from top. Also have experimented with railings for a dark look as you suggest John - but not sure I want a dark room - it has no windows.
Floor is vinyl actually but does look like tiles in the photo!

I’m with Jonathan, dark walls, but not black. Maybe try a dark green or grey.

I vote dark on the two side walls with dusky pink on the back wall. I think a large round mirror on the dusky pink wall would set it off nicely.

I think white. The floor is fabulous and it needs to shine, so I would go white all round.

The floor covering makes a great statement. As the room looks small, I would mirror the whole wall above the toilet cistern and keep the other walls a matt white. Some snazzy taps, towel and loo paper holder could add some bling.

Omg I love it - I’m looking at tiles like that for our en-suite! How have you found the astra floor? I’d seen some bad reviews!

I was thinking of keeping quite light with mine - whites and pale greys but now you’ve got time thinking! Maybe dark would work with it for us!

Hi Gabby- so it’s a vinyl floor, not even individual vinyl tiles like karndean can be) , just a roll of vinyl! Haven’t had any trouble with atrafloor ourselves, but I vaguely remembering someone talking about poor customer service/delivery times if that’s what you’re referring to?

I’m with forzitalia on this. The floor is a statement and will look great with clean lines and the pop of black. I can imagine some pale scandi panelling for the toilet back and keeping the walls white. Maybe a wooden frame mirror to carry the theme. I wouldn’t try and match the green and I’m not sure there is enough of a contrast to add pale pink I think it might look a bit sickly.

I'm with Forzaitalia and think that white with black accents will be lovely. I'd hang a fab piece of art on the wall and do something funky with the lighting and keep it nice and fresh looking.

Off black gloss to half height (kind of like half tiled but cheaper and more reversible ;) and then white above.

Or if less brave you could do gloss off white to half height and white or pale pink above. Not sure about the pink and green right next to each other but good if separated by white or off black.

Omg Love that floor! Apologies in advance for nicking it for my main bathroom. And MATH those pink tiles are beautiful. I can't afford em but will look for something similar.

Sam, just do a splash back to keep the cost down on the pink tiles............surround them with something plainer and cheaper.

I think blush pink would work beautifully and tie in the green tiles with black accessories. It will looks spacious and warm. Good luck, lots of fab suggestions

I have just seen too much dirty pink and green around, I would go for white and then introduce colour with some warming wood if possible. Much like Forzaitalia's second image.

Funky floor! I like it! I’d go for white walls and add a nice bit of pale wood somewhere to stop it from looking too sterile. A quality plywood or an ash veneer would compliment beautifully with the black taps. Use the pink in accessories like fluffy towels and soap dispenser, room scent etc. Then if you get bored of the pink it’s easy to swap over.

Love this flooring + I love the Black finishes!

Too add to the black tap you really need black accessories - try Bathroom Origins https://bathroomorigins.co.uk/product-tag/black/page/2/

Black framed mirror would look stunning too.

Now, tiles! :P

My advice!

Find a nice paint you like - I think Farrow + Ball Elaphants Breath, something along those lines.

Then find a Metro 300 x 100 in a similar colour to be used as the boxing on the cistern and a 2 tile high splash back behind the wc and basin.

Paint the rest of the walls elephants breath/whatever you like!

Radiator - could go GREEN?!?!
