Wall tile colour scheme to complement bathroom units.
Hi all,
We're having a new bathroom fitted in a month and I'm looking for some advise regarding tiles colours. The image I've attached is the what we're having installed; it is in a gloss grey finish. The bath panel will be white.
We're thinking of dark grey / anthracite tiling on the floor.
It's the walls we're having difficulty deciding what to go with. We'd like to room to be light and fresh.
Any recommendations about what would look best would be appreciated. Thank you.

PRO8 years agoYou could use these pattern tiles as the colours will tie in with the furniture.

Comments (27)Hi the floor tiles we are using are from tops tiles , I can't see them on their website but they have them in their shop . They are dark grey/ black 30x60 and are Matt but in certain lights have a very tiny sparkle . Not the ones with big sparkly bits and that are shiny . If I go in again I will find out the name . Comments (0)We have used these tiles to cover our wetroom bathroom (all walls and floors in the shower area). But where the vanity unit and sink will be, there are no tiles - just a ceiling to floor mirror, and the walls are to be painted. To keep the hotel/spa look we wanted to keep the bathroom slightly darker and not go for a lighter wall colour. Comments (26)Toria - are you able to take some more recent photos that show a little more of the room? Your last post mentions mixing a colour for below the picture rail, but I can’t see a picture rail in the photo. Can I also ask a delicate question - I’ve read your post several times and appreciate the emotional ties, but what is the purpose of this makeover? Is this a house that you personally live in and will remain in, or are you preparing to put it on the market? The outcome of that question could result in different suggestions! If you intend to remain in the house, go with whatever makes you happy. Sadly, if the aim is to get it into a sellable condition, buyers are likely to want as neutral as possible because the reality is that they may very well rip it out and start again. For what it’s worth, I think your blue tones are not quite muted enough - they are all quite bright. I’m also not sure about having the peachy colours with the blue colours, one above the other separated by a picture rail or dado rail. You might be better sticking to just one colour throughout - especially as you have a coloured suite plus the tiles. We have Lino in our utility room, its so easy to keep clean...lovely and warm and soft under bare feet too! We've been for a look around a tiling store today and played around with some ideas.
We really like the below tile, similar to what was recommended above;
We compared it against a wooden effect floor tile, an anthracite tile, and a "cement" coloured tile;
The bathroom itself is fairly small; approx 2m x 2.5m. Not sure if the wood or the anthracite might be too dark for the room?
