Kitchen walls colours

Hi. We have just had a new kitchen built. We love it and now I need to decide on wall colours. We have Bianco Luminoso quartz tops, white gloss and grey concrete units. My husband wants white but im not too sure. Any suggestions? Many thanks

Good morning Nicola,

We think white works well with for the wall colours in this kitchen. If your budget permits, perhaps you could explore looking at a glass spashback to add a practical/visual feature? Example below...

I would choose something very close to that deep red/rust/plum (can't quite work out what it is) in the granite. It looks as if that colour is also in the tea towel on the right (hanging on the handle in front of the oven). Everything else is so light I think the room would take it well and it would give it wow factor. You need a warm colour, as someone else has said, to tone with the cream of the cabinets and the granite.

I would have poo poo’d this idea before as I’d wonder what the point was, but make your self a mood board using the colours roughly in the same ratios. Are you planning on having some artwork as this may be the lynchpin that helps it hang all together. Pulling colours through from that will help the scheme. Tonal can be soft and soothing but needs layering up with texture to create a cohesive scheme. Alternatively pops of bright colour can look amazing and your kitchen is lovely and bright with good bones. What is the rest of your house like, and what is your style?

That looks nice , need colour to tone with curtains and blind tho as I still like my curtains , I’m thinking green now , you helped me with my lounge colour earlier this year , that was green chimney breast , love green like you , thinking maybe doing one wall green where cabinets are and maybe rest of walls light cream , not magnolia , hate it ,😂 think now sitting looking at it a soft saggy green maybe , it’s finding the right colour

I had to laugh when I saw your first pic. For a minute I thought it was our own kitchen under construction!

We choose F&B’s Cornforth White, which is actually a lovely warm grey - not too bright, not too dark. Our kitchen is open plan with our dining area, and also has a pocket door through to our lounge. We wanted to paint all 3 rooms the same colour and, to our tastes, white would have been too cold and stark.
