angelaew The glass is already privacy textured, the aim is to provide more privacy than a film (or similar can provide) as the bathroom is on the first floor at the front of the house. Bagpuss DO you think it would look odd to have the blinds only covering the lower 2 windows? The blinds are likely to be drawn almost all the time, and not covering the top 2 windows will allow more light through. Camilla I too love plantation shutters, but budget doesnt stretch to that at the moment (the whole bathroom needs renovating, so the solution I put in place now will likely be replaced when the bathroom gets renewed (indeed the location of the bathroom may move entirely in the house if I do the planned extension, but that is a few years away yet!) I really think it's a great basis for a lovely bathroom as it is. Here's what I would change to make it into the lovely, relaxed and luxurious space you're aiming for: roman blinds, change the photo frame for framed art with green tones in it, change the mirror for a larger and more elaborate one, find a small cart/trolley that holds towels and the items for daily use that are now on the little planchet. If you have space for that? There are very narrow ones that might work?

You have great bathroom! Roomy too. I actally really liked your original blind. It seeed to compliment your chandelier but I understand why you chose the film and it too looks great.

Personally I would put large tiles on the floor as well as in the shower, as herringbone will mean a lot of grout lines on the floor to get grubby. Then you could use the herringbone tiles on the wall behind the sink and make a feature of that wall? And/or on the wall above the bath (though it would be a hell of a job for the tilers with that slope, but can be done)? The bath panel could be either the large tiles or the herringbone. What’s the plan for the black long tiles - I like the idea of using those somewhere, maybe on the false wall behind the loo? Black herringbone as a nod to the white herringbone but to give a contrasting colour. Are the marble tiles real marble, or porcelain marble style? They are lovely by the way. If they are real marble I would be a little wary of using them in the shower as they are porous and may stain or spall, also mineral deposits can leach out causing rust stains especially with all those lovely veins. Calacatta is a particularly porous marble, more so than Carrara for example. If they are real then I would limit them to wall use (the sink wall and possibly the wall behind the bath as I say above) and perhaps use the black herringbone in the shower instead?
