4 years agoThat’s the kitchen from the other direction. Pretty bright with no big splashes of colour. Would something bright be too much?? Some have suggested bright display plates. Sounds weird to me...

Comments (18)Hi Amanda you have a big enough garden to rearrange everything,what about putting the shed on the right hand side of the lounge patio door side as you can get a shed made to fit or have some one build one for that space for bikes and tools etc. You could have a lovely size patio going from the kitchen straight across and leading to the lounge area, A patio path leading down to the lower part of the garden with areas to sit and have a canopy for the kids to play under made from timber or metal which are reasonable to buy as a kit form. You could have some raised beds plus a planting area or rock feature you could have a wall with a water feature it all depends on your budget. Comments (7)The small cupboard above the sink opens horizontally and is actually pretty inconvenient, so I'm sure that a rack would work well thinking about it. As for the spices, they need some serious decluttering! I'm considering another shelving unit on the opposite wall to hold everything currently on the worktop. Unfortunately, there's no other space for a dining table but I have been looking at smaller expendable models as we hardly use our current one. Extra pull out worktops would be ideal! I'm not sure if there is quite enough space above the white goods but I will have another scan of the kitchen. Hopefully they will work somewhere as the extra preparation area would be so useful. 4 years agoIt is lovely. There's quite a lot going on so display plates might be too much.
How about a funky circular mirror.
Or a nice big poster from not on the high street or somewhere with personalised words/family tree type things.What are you into as a family? Something like these prints by James Brown are nice, and also interesting for when people are standing around with a cup of tea to read. He does them on loads of other subjects

Looks like you dont need extra storage so other than clock/artwork ideas what about: displaying kids artwork; magnetic family calendar; or a bit of an upgrade on a scratch off map and install a push pin (or similar) world map of places you've been or plan to go. Some ideas below .
