Kitchen/garage conversion ideas

last modified: 8 years ago

Hi, following an earlier post I made we have gone back to the kitchen designer with new ideas and I was wanting some advice.

Where the tower of ovens are is currently the wall to our garage, this is going. The far wall behind the peninsula is going too (through now to the dining room) which will make one large area. Previously the ovens, fridge and freezer were going against this wall, now the wall is going we have moved them round into the new conversion - this picture is not to scale..it will be longer.

There will be a door through to the hall and a window at the front. We were planning on putting a small sofa and TV in this area - the ceiling will be vaulted with velux in.

The wall unit next to the ovens will be open as per the other two.

The kitchen style is this: Otto burbidge in bleached walnut and white.

I just have a couple of questions really..

1. Do you think it will work ok having the appliance units going round into the garage area? Does it look ok? My other idea was to move the double ovens under the induction hob but this in turn messes up the unit sizing.

2. Should I go for white or bleached walnut at the top or bottom of the units if I want a more wood (parquet vinyl tile flooring)? The main worktops will be white Quartz and the breakfast bar the bleached walnut.

It's so hard to picture all this when it's just plans!
