Kitchens are a big expense - especially the chairs so I would match them to the units - the set you showed matches the colours of the chairs with the units really well, BUT, 1. The pine top doesn't work and 2. You need to add a bit of pzaz to this space. You can paint or cover the pine top with whatever colours / textures you choose as accents then follow these colours through into the pictures and the odd accessory (but don't go mad and keep most of the kitchen utensils and tools in the same colour as the background so they 'disappear' - only use subtle accent colours on gorgeous items so they stand out). This way, if you get bored with your scheme you can just change the accessories and the table top colour rather than the whole lot. Feel free to email me for more help. Hi, We are in final stages of redevelopment of farmhouse. We have a solid wood, kitchen which we need to repaint and I like the mussel colour. It’s taken me ages to decide. I found blue lights to go above island that I adored and looked at blues but we have a black granite worktop and distressed wood floors (I don’t like pale blue, I like rich blues so felt too dark) I also love green although the lights I like in blue are not as nice in green and and other ones are mega expensive. So my main q is we have a large kitchen with island and small breakfast nook. There is only 1 large window into porch and back door. Walls are all white. Will all mussel kitchen work? Will green or blue work as accent colours? Also where can I get mussel cupboard paint from? Obviously I have seen colour in kitchen spot and here in this post but doors already come painted. I need paint that colour but have no idea where to get it from ?

Update - the OH successfully sprayed the pine table using Valspar exact match paint, from B&Q where they can mix paint to match any colour you want - in this case it was Neptune Salt - very successfully and it's given a great finish. He just diluted it with approx 10% water. I have to say, everything he's sprayed has worked out really well. He originally started to do it because we wanted to update the kitchen cabinet door colour and a local place quoted us £40 per door - not to mention plinths and side panels, so the cost was prohibitively expensive. So he thought he'd have a go himself. That said, he did spend about £450'ish on the gun, he'd read bad reviews about some of the cheaper guns. But we more than covered the cost against the cost to have them done locally.

Just reading the comments and suggestions on here shows the capacity for lots of variations possible for a design in this size of space. Have you considered investing some time working with one designer - who you can work with to produce a layout that ticks your boxes and then shopping around with the finished plans - (this is the kind of service we provide ) it may be a bit less confusing than several people ‘having a go ‘ - although it’s always great to get others opinions on Houzz, and of course it’s lovely that they are offering you this help at no cost. But might be worth considering, as you will be living with the results for a long time!
