Comments (2)Hello Sophtherou, It may be that you have made all the changes but... One thing that would really bounce light back up the stairs is having a long mirror on the back of the front door. You can have plain mirrors following the banister rail going up the wall, either a long one or several.. For warm whites think of trying Little Greene Whitening or White Lead... You could paint the skirting a white white for contrast... Then if you wanted some accent walls, like a chimney breast or opposite wall or something, Portland Stone is a nice one for example.. It's quite a warm colour and would work well with the other suggestions.. Comments (6)Have you got sofas yet? Swoon have some great blue velvet ones. The traditional setting, blue & grey will work very well with warm wood tones. So, maybe some occasional furniture, side tables, coffee table, sideboard etc could be thrown in there. Mustard yellow looks great with everything above, and will also add some warmth. Comments (2)The soil pipe for the toilet will be the most costly thing to move so this will have to be your first exploration. I would look at stealing a bit of the bedrooms and putting a bathroom between the bedrooms with a jack and Jill door so that you can be completely private if you have guests.
