what colour to paint living area in open plan kitchen diner?
Comments (3)thanks for commenting. i've now decided to go with fnb Joa's white for the living aea. its a greyish cream which i think will be light, warm and cosey without clashing with the other colours. i didn't initially think cream would work as my base throughout the house is light grey, but its quite a greyish toned cream and fits well the cream carpets throughout house :) Kitchen being fitted today. exciting to have it all come together now....See MoreAre Ghost dining chairs dated or timeless?
Comments (3)Hi, It's all down to personal taste, must confess I love the Philippe Starck chairs, specify them for clients. I have a set of 6 around my dining table at home. They fit into modern or traditional environment, light weight, allow light to pass through making the space feel bigger and they are really comfortable even without cushions. An added bonus is that they stack for when you need them out of the way or the floor needs cleaning. I think they will get better with age, timeless classics.. Martin PS Don't buy a Starck copy, they don't have the crisp finish, the acrylic isn't as clear and the won't take the hammering the original will take in daily use.. Comments (32)I'm doing all I can to stop it from crashing but no luck yet! I've lengthened the island from 3.2M to 3.6M to increase the storage for the kitchen but agree the island should be moved down slightly. I'd like a really large seating area but will have a play around to see how I can make this area work better as the settee is a little bit close to the island! I've always wanted a formal seating area and will have the space to do this but may be able to get away with 2 settees rather than the 3 I had my heart set on!! I'd put the TV on that wall so I could see it when I was in the kitchen cooking! But it would be better placed on the other wall for people sat at the Island to see. Your points are so helpful! This is the most productive day I've had in a while!! And I've just watched the George Clarke show 'Ugly House to Lovely House' to see the Crittall windows and I love them!...See Morehelp! double storey rear vs single storey rear+loft conversion?
