I think the best thing to do is use boards that looks like mosaic tiles, it's from ABBuilding supplies, you can stick it over tiles and then the furniture. It's very cost effective.

Personally I quite like the colour of the suite but the floor is cheap looking and the wall colour is cold. If I was working on a budget I would:- Remove the boxing under the sink. Remove the tiles on the window wall. Dark wood style floor. Have tongue and groove put on the window wall behind the sink and replace the bath panel with the same. Strip all flaking paint from the tiles and repaint. As far as colours I think the current blue paint is too cool and make the bathroom look dirty. Counterintuitively earthy colours will work well with the suite. So you could layer several taupe colours or you could choose earthy greens. However since the window is so big I think I would choose a very dark charcoal or brown for the walls and wood paneling and then a tile paint that matches the suite. Don’t forget that part of the reason this bathroom currently looks sterile is because there is no decoration so don’t forget to hang a picture or two and add a blind and a house plant

Hi Faye, this is an interesting one, than you for posting! If the house was mine, I would investigate to see whether the walls can be moved. If this could be an option I would think of extending the left bathroom wall so I could move the bathroom where your kitchen currently is, so I could have a bigger kitchen (inclusive of utility room). i this way the bathroom will be accessible from the corridor. please let me know if this makes sense!
