Wall panelling advice
I want to redecorate and am thinking of putting ‘wood‘ panelling on the long wall near the dining table 1) to make it more resilient to scuffing 2) to add interest/ texture
Do you think it could work? If so I’m stuck on style- you see it in a more traditional setting but the kitchen unit doors and drawers are matt white handleless slab type.
anyway, i would be grateful for your thoughts.,,

Comments (8)I like the idea to make them all one colour, the white one might be a good option for the room. What colours are attached rooms (kitchen and sitting room)? It is important they have one colour scheme, it brings balance into design. You also can add focal points. White colour is visually a bit cold in a winter time (personal experience). 7 years agoYou could, but I'm not sure I would do that. Just not sure it would need something added to it.
Another option: vertical board & batten panelling up to about 2/3 of the wall and the painting above it.

PRO7 years agoOn the picture the ceiling doesn't look very high so I would do the panelling up to the ceiling and keep a vertical pattern
