I'd go with a dark grey (almost black) or lighter shade of grey to contrast the worktops. Grey is a very versatile colour. A good rule to follow is to be neutral with walls/tiles, compliment with flooring and furniture then draw attention with bright coloured accessories.

Out of curiosity, what colour are the door handles and flooring?

Thank you for your comments. I've attached images of the plans, handles and cabinetry. I think I will go with a large tile on the floor in either ivory or pale grey?

So you could have pale and dark grey units, grey and white worktops, grey walls and possibly grey tiles? I would focus on the floor tiles and get those right with the units to be honest. Are you able to photograph any samples of potential floor tiles next to the unit colours?

We would suggest going for soft grey walls, in between the 2 door colours, you want the cabinets to still stand out against them and the island to be the feature piece. Becareful what tone of grey you chose, definitely worth getting some samples pots and painting them on each wall as the light will hit it differently. If you are changing the lighting/lightbulbs be aware this may also alter how the grey looks :)

Hello Nicola, your kitchen renovation looks very exciting!

As most have mentioned above, using a very light shade of grey would compliment the space very well. Or, if you would like to warm it up slightly choosing an off white/grayscale shade could work nicely too. Something like, Warm gray 1,2 or 3C?

I'd go for Cornforth white or Ammonite from F&B. Strong white might be an option too. thanks

Hello Nicola, A grey would look nice but if you did want to experiment with colour, a warm sage green would look great with the door colours you've chosen and the room seems light enough to deal with a little colour. Ive attached two examples of the kind of colour I mean.
