I would like to tackle the bathroom next and am looking for ideas that don't involve ripping the whole thing out. The rest of my flat is quite modern and fresh, lots of grey and white.
Your bathroom looks lovely as it is. What we would recommend to update it a bit is to use floor stencils to repaint the floor with some pattern and maybe change the mirror for a bigger one and install some cool contemporary wall vanity lights..you could also paint the vanity unit into a darker grey. As soon as this heavy walnut unit is updated, the whole bathroom will look more fresh. That should be inexpensive and do the trick;) Good luck!
Thank you. The tiles are a brown beige sand colour at the moment, same as the floor. Would this look okay with grey? ( I do like the grey painting idea!)
There is no mirror currently but I would like one. just not sure where to put it as the window is quite big and there is a shaving plug socket in the area to the right...
Beige and grey colour schemes go very nicely together-they are both earthy tones. You just have to make sure the grey you choose is a warm grey (which means that it doesn’t have any blue-cold undertones). And you can then go for lighter or darker shade of it. The mirror can be wall mounted on the left side of the window or hung down from the ceiling, positioned in the middle of the window. The photos attached are just to demonstrate the colours, not about the bathroom styles..;) You are probably going more contemporary?
