Comments (31)Hi, your kitchen looks beautiful! came across threads as we too are currently debating diy kitchens cashmere or light grey, we have ordered cashmere and started to have doubts that it would be too dark. Though looking at yours I'm reassured again! I just wondered what wood worktop/and poss stain you have chosen? We looked at a solid wood oak but i thought it looked a bit yellowy. (fab choice on floor too)...See MoreKitchen end panels ??
Comments (4)I will be finishing my kitchen off with a waterfall worktop rather than an end panel. I am using marble laminate and getting my joiner (my dad!) to mitre the joint. Otherwise you'll need to over hang the top and butt up a piece underneath. You'll have to get edging strip to finish the end which doesn't always look as slick. If they're solid tops you probably won't have that issue. See if your joiner is confident enough to mitre for the best result....See MoreReplacing kitchen units without removing the worktop
Comments (3)Hi Mark, Firstly do the carcasses really need replacing? i.e. are they breaking inside? Reason I ask is because carcasses are generally the same size from brand to brand unless you have had a very bespoke kitchen. It will be harder to replace the carcasses as the base units will be siliconed to the worktops underneath. Naked doors is a great brand which specialises in changing just the front doors: https://www.nakedkitchens.com/doors?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1MSGq7aR5QIViaztCh3yYAZJEAAYASAAEgKJnvD_BwE If however you really do want to change the internals first thing I would do is speak to several builders and find one that is willing to change them for you. Some might tell you they can't do it, some might be able to do it. Good luck! Hope that helps Rukmini...See MoreA S
