I think your plan is sound and exactly what I would wish to do in your position.  I say go for it, it will look so much better.  We had our windows changed but still have the old porch which is terrible, the only reason it's not done yet is because it requires a builder not just the window fitter and we have one booked to do ground floor renovations starting oct/Nov so have added it to his list instead.  It would be a shame to change your windows but still not be happy with the front. I hope you can convince your husband, I hear your pain! Lol

I’m drawn to peacock blue too ( has 4 votes at the mo) - think it might add some depth. I also like Schwarzbraun (with 3 votes). It is dark but I think it looks quite smart. Is it too dark?? Midnight blue and blue each have 3 votes too. No clear front runner at the mo…maybe I put on too many options. 🤣 Keep voting!

Hi everyone, is there any rule about not mixing the blinds types in one room? I have a large kitchen dining room with two same size windows in the kitchen part and large French door with two sidelights in the dining area. I m going for French bistro style with my decor and really like cotton striped or bordered roman blinds. I was thinking to get them for the two windows and have the perfect fit Venetian blinds fitted on the French door and sidelights. However, is it something you’re not supposed to be doing? I read that you shouldn’t mix blonds on one room. Does anyone have two different types or blinds on their windows and doors and can share any pictures? Many thanks in advance for any advice x
