Which combination do you prefer?

A seductive mix of super matt black, with a metallic brass furniture and Kelya Dekton work surfaces.

A scandi choice with a pine effect and two matt doors, one white one grey, teamed with Caesarstone Excava luxury work surfaces.

A calming combination of a white stone, a deep blue and a flat matt white cabinet, teamed with pure white Caesarstone work surfaces.

Dark or pale grout - which do you prefer?
Comments (15)I used white 40x15cm tiles in my shower, fixed brick-bond, landscape, and almost black grout. The tiler said it took him longer than usual to make sure it looks neat and it's pristine. Agree with all comments about flooring - I inherited cream floor tiles with cream grout on my ground floor. Horrendous - just don't look too closely :-) x...See MoreWhich floorplan do you prefer?
Comments (16)I prefer Version 1 - mainly because a utility room (and the side entrance from outside) would be so useful. As others have said, you can't have the sink so far from the cooker with the island in between - so the kitchen layout needs some work, but I'd definitely do V1. I'd make the utility bigger though - do what your husband wants, make the V2 bedroom into a big utility with access from outside and into the kitchen - making it bigger gives you more options on where to put the door thru into the kitchen too, to save walking into the side of a cabinet. I'd probably keep the little corridor in front of the shower room, so that you could also enter the utility from the hallway - and therefore you can get into kitchen that way from hallway or walking thru dining room. the utility should then be big enough for laundry and boot room combined - and with the shower room beside it, all very useful when you come in either door....See Morewhich chair do you prefer?

Comments (10)Keep it to the one tile for a more restful calm experience. It’s a small space so if you use little bits of too many different colours/surfaces it’ll get more confusing to the eye. You can start with a seemingly bland base but I think that is quite sophisticated in that it’s not going to look overly designed. Less is more for understated elegance. Add really luxurious towels, soap, candles etc to create a lovely space. And don’t skimp on things you touch - taps, shower fittings, loo roll holder - all those touch points add up and contribute significantly to a more luxurious sophisticated experience. You want someone to feel good in there, not to comment on whether that’s two different tiles you used or is it just shadow making the shower seem darker....See More- 7 years ago
