Help for small bathroom
Comments (14)i have just finished our ensuite bathroom -still waiting for shutters and bits to finish off so looking a bit bare still - but photo attached as we used Laura Ashley patterned tiles on the floor and one of the shower walls, which are quite victorian but modern and reasonably priced (also available in a darker grey). We then used plain white tiles for the rest of the room which were only £10 sq m. The little wall shelf unit is from Graham & Green. our sink is Duravit 65cm so quite big - they do smaller sizes. sorry can't figure out how to get these photos the correct way up!!...See MoreUpdating a small, white-tiled bathroom and colour advice please.
Comments (15)Sanitary ware. I'm having a crisis of decision making. I bought a new sink and vanity from IKEA: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/washstands-taps/wash-stands/fullen-t%C3%A4lleviken-wash-basin-cabinet-white-spr-39891444/ However, it's occurred to me since that it'll take up too much of the room/floorspace, especially as the sink faces you as you walk in. I've been looking at other designs, and the wall-hung sink with a nicer-looking chrome waste could be a much better option. Added to this, if I'm tiling the floor, I'll probably need to buy a new loo, and IKEA doesn't do matching loos. Therefore...where can I buy a basic loo/basin package? What's the difference between a 'toilet and basin' and a 'cloakroom suite'? Should I go for one or two tap holes? Am I wasting my money? Should I just update the taps on the existing sink and tile-box in the waste?...See MoreSmall bathroom refurb help with storage please!
Comments (11)Removing the cupboard sounds like a great idea! It will definitely open up the space and provide an opportunity for extra storage. To maximize the storage opt for a double floorstanding vanity unit. There are plenty out there, but if you like a more clean, contemporary style, this white “his and hers” one on the link below seems to be a hit with our customers. https://www.designangels.co.uk/product-page/floor-standing-double-basin-vanity-unit Good luck with your renovation!...See MoreSmall bathroom layout please help! Comments (30)Hi guys, I am back again with a bathroom query, I have an image attached. I really don't like the current layout for this bathroom and I'm thinking if we move the toilet to the wall on the left under the sink and put the bathroom vanity where the toilet currently is so that this is the first thing the person sees when the door is open. Do you think this works? Again advice is hugely appreciated. I honestly had no idea finalising bathrooms would be so difficult, and the support I have received on Houzz has been the best of any professional I have met so far so thank you all! Any questions please do let me know!...See More- 7 years ago
