Flooring advice

Hi. We’re currently in the process of having our old conservatory knocked down and a single storey extension built which goes the full width of the house. We have 2 sets of internal doors giving access to the conservatory - one set for the kitchen and one s from the back reception room. The doors from the kitchen are staying but the other set are coming out so it’s a bit more open plan. We’re really struggling to come up with ideas as to what to do with the flooring though. We’re having underfloor heating (electric) in the new extension and also ripping up the old laminate flooring which is currently in the kitchen and running underfloor heating in here too. We have a downstairs cloakroom which has the same laminate flooring as the kitchen and the rest of downstairs (hallways and front/rear reception rooms) have carpet. All of this is coming to be replaced too. Ideally, we live the idea of herringbone/parquet in the hallway, cloakroom and reception rooms and some sort of luxury vinyl in the kitchen and extension, but not really sure how it should “flow”. Should we look to match the flooring in the extension with the kitchen or, as it’ll be more open plan, match the flooring in the extension with what goes in the back reception room? Or have different flooring in all 3 rooms? We wouldn’t do wood throughout as it wouldn’t look right. Thanks for any advice. Phil
