Hi, Tiles, paint, glass splashback or using the same worktop effect as a splashback all depends on personal choice as this is the space you will be using and seeing daily especially if you are a real foodie. If it is tiles you are wanting, I wouldnt tile to the top, I think it may be too much Especially with metro tiles; rather I'd prefer to line the tiles with the window bars and see if the extractor can be lowered by a notch to ensure there is continuing straight line through out. Alternatively, I'd consider a neutral coloured glass splashback behind the counter space which would co-ordinate with your walls and work surface.... Good Luck

No, seriously my friend sent me loads of photos of her flooring via WhatsApp which saves photos to my photo library automatically. I helped her choose the floor as she was going to go for a weird geometric floor that makes you dizzy.....it was awful.....the herringbone one is so much nicer. This was her first choice

We are a tile shop / showroom who work very closely with interior designers and sell to the retail and specification markets. I would always suggest the lighter options and add colour in your accessories - towels and blinds. The white tile will make your bathroom look and feel bigger, and if you tile full height will look brighter. The images you show are probably manufacturers pictures, be carefull as this typical porcelain style will only offer 6 - 10 different designs, therefore its nearly impossible to book match or side match. So again the lighter colour will be easier on the eye as the different images on every tile will blend better. Also choose the grout colour wisely, we try and match our grout to the background colour of the tile. If you look at the white bathroom picture it shows grey grout on the floor, this picture frames the tile, and your eye automatically sees the grout lines and not the tile. I would use an off white with these tiles, something like moon white from Mapei. I hope this helps.
