Luxury Vinyl - Amtico Spacia v Quick Step Pulse
Comments (2)Quick Step Pulse is waterproof and stainproof, but Amtico Spacia is stronger. It has a wear class of 42, but the highest Quick Step Pulse has is 33. http://www.bricoflor.co.uk/quick-step-livyn-pulse-click-plus-cotton-oak-grey-with-saw-cuts-pucp40106.html http://www.bricoflor.co.uk/amtico-spacia-desert-sandstone-30-5-x-45-7-cm-special-offers.html?___SID=U...See MoreLuxury Vinyl Tiles high street supplier advice.

Comments (7)We have Amtico in 2 bathrooms and the kitchen/diner and I can't speak of it highly enough. It has a deeper wear layer than a lot of LVT flooring, but I suspect that in a domestic setting you'd have to be practising your tap dancing nightly, for the wear layer to be affected on most reputable and well know LVT brands. A key thing if you're not fitting it yourself, is to make sure the fitter is competent and experienced in the fitting, I've seen some horrendously shoddy jobs on here. Another thing that I've gleaned from some of the posts on here, don't assume a fitter has totally understood what you want and make sure they check with you if there are decisions to be made whilst fitting, don't let them make a "managerial decision" about how it will look. YOU have to live with it, so it's well worth checking and double checking as they're going along - it's a lot easier to re-do a small bit and possibly upset them a little, rather than re-doing a whole finished floor - which would upset them a lot....See MoreLVT that looks like porcelain tiles
Comments (6)I'm glad it's not just me Sarah, I thought maybe I was being too picky. I wanted to 'Upgrade' to lvt for our open plan downstairs as I know it's waterproof properties make it 'ideal' for kitchens (we had laminate in previous house but did suffer when the washing machine leaked). But even the wood effect lvt, doesn't look or feel as realistic as laminate to me. We are moving washing machine into downstairs bathroom (which I think we'll end up using real tiles) then maybe laminate in kitchen and just cross fingers the dishwasher doesn't leak?! Lvt promises so much but I've struggled to fins samples that actually deliver....See MorePeter Butler
