Comments (10)We're all for a bit of hard work, and would definitely paint the cupboards. You are right not to use F&B, it's an inferior paint compared to dulux, and not correct for your purposes, being Eggshell finish. Dulux Trade Satinwood is far better, gives a better finish and is hardwearing. ( It's also more expensive than F&B i'm afraid, but you get what you pay for ). I'd paint the cupboards in a pale grey and replace the knobs. Give the area behind the bed a good dark grey finish, to help with making your choice of headboard really stand out. Comments (12)To answer your other question about the use 2 different forms of lighting in a kitchen diner.... You can always look for lighting ranges that offer various sizes of similar designs. But choosing different designs is nothing to fear of as long as it's matching in a way. For example, colour or a detail element. Just as an example you could adjust this to a height of a semi flush and and pair it with a larger light in grey finish and / or with crystal details. Comments (6)Definitely! If it helps I don’t think it would be much to change it over to something you fancy, sell it on and put the money towards what you want, it doesn’t even look like something I’d use in a dining room it’s more kitchen style to me....See MoreLight fitting problem
Comments (0)I bought three pendant light sets and had them fitted in the bedrooms but have since found out that my lamp shades don’t fit! The pendant dimensions are shown below. I assume the lampshades have standard fittings as I’ve never had problems using them before. They have three prongs into a central circle (think it’s called a spider fitting). But the central circle is too small to fit over the bottom of the pendant. Is there a way to adapt the lampshades to fit? The only things I’ve found are to make the central ring smaller rather than bigger. Thanks for your help!...See MoreLitecraft
