Hands up if you'd like a kitchen island!
Comments (21)Our current square kitchen has a central island and acts as a bit of a roundabout as we have through traffic to contend with. Drives me mad when people come through the busy working area instead of round the other side. About to enlarge both kitchen and island, I just need to make sure I keep people out of my bit!...See MoreHands up if you'd like a walk-in wardrobe!
Comments (19)I've just designed my own walk in wardrobe after doing them for clients for years. I'm going for the "Carrie from Sex and the City" layout, where you walk through the wardrobe to the ensuite. Unfortunately, my wardrobe will not be stuffed full of designer labels though! NB it is also the pre Mr Big wardrobe, yikes, don't ever think I'd have a house big enough for that one!!!...See MoreWhat’s wrong with this seating area?
Comments (16)Play with the position of the chairs so the backs are more against the radiator wall, that way you can look out onto the garden and towards the kitchen and diner too. Far be it from me to tell you what furniture to like or to spend unnecessarily but from the photo those chairs look a bit too big for the space. Would those small tub type chairs or something similar sized work better?. Love the fur throw you have, more cozy stuff like that will help create more of a comfy seating zone, pop a little plant ( maybe a small succulent)on the coffee table and there you go x...See MoreReconfigure flat - what’s my best option
Comments (6)Hi Yvonne! Would you consider swithcing the possition of the samll bedroom and the living area? You can make one big connected space with the entrance hall, hte kitchen space, the small bedroom and part of the actual living room. The living room will face South East ( nice orientation, much better tan Noth West). This will allow you to change the position of the bathroom door, or at least, not feel that you need to go across the kitchen to go to the bathroom. I attach some photos of an apartment we renovated, where the kitchen is right on the entrance hall, and open to the living area... Good luck with the renovation!
