Don't paint it. If you don't like it see if it has a salvage value and have it taken up. If you do like it but there is damage you can just replace strips or there are products to help restore this kind of product

River white granite is very similar to the splashback in the last photo.... the thing is we have in our mind to have a grey kitchen and everyone is saying you can't have all gray. our last house had alot of brown and beige, tan, cream etc, no one mentioned we needed gray to break that up LOL, and while I appreciate that those colours are warm, and gray and white are cool, this is an extremely warm and sunny house, lots of patio doors, often I think I've left a light on. So I think I can get away with gray and white without having to still drag brown in ..? If i add colour right. and by colour I mean red, teal, mustard... not brown! Which is a neutral IMO I think we will go ahead with the kitchen and leave the walls white for now and put floor samples down to decide.... then add accent colour organically.

We have wet ufh and Karndean throughout our ground floor. The ambient heat to the rooms is really good. Obviously a tiled floor would spread the heat more evenly across the floor, but the flip side is that tiled floors are cold in the summer when you don’t have the ufh on. So, one of the reasons we chose Karndean was that it would feel warm underfoot all year. You need to make sure the correct adhesive is used so it doesn’t melt when the heat is on.

The flooring company could check the moisture content to see if its ready for the new floor with a test meter. But if you're having solid wood worktops and if there is a lot of moisture then I wouldn't want to have these installed, also if you're new kitchen doors are solid timber these will also be affected by a damp atmosphere/high humidity. I think you really need to get some heating/dehumifier on before you start.
