kitchen move to dining room

please excuse the messy plans but I've just had my extension cancelled by my builder and I've decided to reconfigure instead.
I'm thinking of moving the kitchen into the dining room and dining into the kitchen.
has anyone done similar?
we have a separate living room at the front of the house and I plan to put french doors in the new kitchen into the garden.
I also want to put the cooker in the chimney breast in yellow.

all advice gratefully welcome.
