Minimal with recycled wood decorations this year...only cos I had to get new ones as most of the old ones had got broken in storage...

My first Christmas away from family in 50 years. It will be a hard one but house is festive.

I love big trees! We always had the biggest imaginable growing up and my Mom who is 81 still does a huge tree. It's my first Christmas away from family in 50 years ( including my Mom) but it was too risky to risk international travel. It's going to be a hard one but I'm ensuring the house is fully decked out.

Our 32 year old artificial tree is not doing too badly. Decorated with a mixture of bought and children's home made decorations.

Our first family budget Christmas tree! Frame made of scrap wood in the garage and bought a garland and stars from Amazon.

We’re not really into seasonal decorations and don’t have a lot of space, so it’s a good compromise for us - minimal, easy to store and DIY.

This year's tree with our daughter's Advent Calendar and stair decor. She has something special every 5 days. Her little santa sacks don't alaways go back on the tree in the order they started but that is also something I love about it 😊 Happy Christmas everyone hope you all stay safe 🌲🎁

Just getting over Covid (mild) so we weren’t able to leave the house...my sister had the mini Christmas tree delivered to us, a friend dropped the big one in our garden for us - and I made the Christmas wreath from foliage from our garden...plenty of blessings this Christmas!

I went nuts like I always do in fact even more nuts as I had all the time this year so every ornament came out and in the house. It a Christmas *a deux* for us and I am secretly looking forward to it. I’m very good at not getting upset about things I cannot control so making the most of being alive 😂
Kitchen in red this year, dinning space a bit more Bordeaux and I finally had time to turn our Christmas cake into a gingerbread village. I haven’t photographed our lounge yet but will try and do it :)

😂 I was waiting for you to post and totally put me to shame! Monica, it’s absolutely beautiful and even exceeds expectations this year! I am somewhat annoyed though as I spent flippin ages looking for Bordeaux velvet baubles!

Christmas a deux will be fantastic, we did it last year and absolutely loved it (although enforced this year after promising we wouldn’t do it again 😆)

Aww thanks love but you are silly, nothing to be ashamed of your gorgeous tree. I found the baubles for a song in TKMaxx and bought the 15 left in stock quickly, sadly only 10 made the journey safely. And yes, look forward to this time we all take OFF OFF before we return to real life again <3

Ours will be A Deux too - well on and off -daughter will be too and from the stables at least twice a day and the horse might poke his head in to say hi if we are lucky ! Mostly just MrOnePlan and Me ! ( and a plume of hay had straw and muddy boots at the door ! )

Monica, your gingerbread decorations are so lovely. Perhaps we should have a whole thread of gingerbread ‘Houzzes’.

We've finally done our tree indoors. The outdoor one has been there a week or two! Just the two of us now this year as our guests in tier 4, as we shall be from Saturday. Still looking forward to Christmas Day. Some light in the darkness. Happy Christmas everyone.

My wife went down the garland route this year to decorate our fireplaces and doorways in our Victorian farmhouse in the UK - she did a great job and made our farmhouse look so feSteve.
