Hi there! I like the tiles! May be your temptation to paint the whole place white is a good idea. I think Vanilla White from Dulux will look nice and bright up the space. Your can use cobalt carpet for staircase and you have plenty of possibilities to be original with art or pictures and accessories.

Tee hee, I think of it an updated classic minus that shade!! Have you looked at India jane? Some of them are quite reasonable. I pretty much like all of them but may not be your thing. Is the lamp to go on a table near where the boys play? Could you swap other lamps if you want glass? Or would a desk style brass lamp work, maybe a more modern retake? Or again I'm not sure it's your thing but you could have a ginger jar base and get a shade to match.

Hello, If you are considering to change the flooring as well than I would suggest you to ignore the colour of the floor as later it may be harder to change the colour of the wall. You could go for grey, white, yellow, olive green too. Izabella StJames Design Interiors

Hello Moiraford, Well it does look rather pale for an Avocado suite.. I have to say I am not opposed to the idea BUT....... It has to be very cool and by that I mean sooooper stylish! You have to really embrace the look! So consider the following suggestions... Add a fabulous flooring that compliments not contrasts the colour, tiles are good or a quartzed green laminate would be good.... Remove any plasticy objects that are not fabulous.. Perhaps replace the wooden elements like the loo seat for an avocado seat. Replace the wooden shelf and consider having something built and tiled to create a ledge above the sink height. Something larger in length and more useful. It might be fantastic to add more Avocado tiles or something darker than current (but it might be the image).. and also paint, a darker richer Olive green to give contrast and interest on any available wall space or if you prefer a lighter version of the Avocado.. There are a lot of ways to deal with this bathroom but darker tiles (if they are not the same as loo/sink) and darker (green) flooring would definitely be good I feel. I also think you could perhaps look at the taps.. Nickel would be a nice colour to go with the green rather than chrome.. I also think glass knobs would be fantastic.. I'll see if I can find an image and I'll add something here.. For mirrors and cabinetry.. I rather like concealed storage and painted or tiled perhaps to match the scheme.... See if you could work this in . An avocado shower tray would also be a good idea.. you get the idea.. A plain mirror would also look better and you could cover more space for light and interest.. Try using green grout and paint the skirting to compliment the flooring.. You can also paint the door to blend with the scheme too... Lastly it would not be an Avocado bathroom without a dark olive green shag rug bathmat. Also don't be afraid to look from the 50's onwards when Avocado and Mint greens were also really popular.. Another thing you can do is add some flash and vibrant wallpaper if you like.. Also consider some faux palm leaves or fronds with large dark leaves... Lastly be very watchful of sealants and other seals... They should ideally be invisible and of a seamless finish.. : )) This one is missing an avocado seat which really would be better.. Taps (Deck mounted version) of something similar.. It's the glass I'm focusing on here) Faux foliage (if real is not ideal!)
