Claire, One easy way to avoid the area looking clinical is to add colour to your barstools. You could pick out a colour which is in your funky art pieces. For example I attach an image of three Steve Stools in Terracotta and you will see a painting on the wall, with terracotta featured. The same customer had a blind in Terracotta I don't know the colours in your Funky art, but I hope you can see the idea. Alternatively you can get splash backs in almost any colour, so add a splash back which matches your bar stools- for example:- or Finally you talk of wood being featured in parts of the kitchen. You can get barstools with wood veneer backs in various shades. For example I show the City R Stool with Walnut Veneer back. It is also available with Natural Oak or Grey Ash or Burned (Dark Brown) and the seat can be upholstered in 56 different colours In closing I attach just one of the three sample cards available. You definitely have room for the island but I would lose the seating unless it is something you know you are going to use and can't live without. Gaurav Rajwanshi, the island is very close to the dining table so there will be no problem in communicating and entertaining whilst being in the kitchen :) If you are going for the seating then I would have two small stools that tuck under the bench when not in use - if you then don't use it they won't compromise work space or traffic flow. It also gives you great room to add (as mentioned above) wine storage and nice drawers that will also look great when walking into the space. Hi I have the Novy Panorama 1841. I am not sure about the grille type exit point but we don't have one. The previous owners had the kitchen fitted. The unit is less than 3 years old. The right side of the hob is flashing errors and it has taken over 7 working days to get an engineer to come and replace the board. The hob is brilliant when working and really quiet. I think the aftersales service (through Aga Rangemaster) is far from efficient. With the Brexit delays you would think they might stock a few spart parts to mitigate the delays. Its been two weeks without a hob. A five year guarantee is excellent. I could recommend the product but not the aftercare.

Just thought I’d update this with a new layout I’m trying, ha ha. It was still bugging me as it was originally so I moved the sofa back by the window as I had previously tried it and instead of having the table by the back wall - I put it in the middle of the room (well off centre) I also moved he glass drinks cabinet over by the rad which breaks up the large expanse of white. So far it feels a lot better. Lots of space around the sides and between the main sofa and table and window sofa and I get to sit and watch the garden birds properly during the day. Going to live with it for a few more weeks then if I decide I prefer it this way then will move some of the the spider lights over the table! (At the moment we hit them when we walk under, lol!) Overall I don’t really like the tub sofa (maybe because it’s black?) and think just two chairs would look better there but it’s something I can work on in the future. (Please ignore artwork on the walls - I’ve removed it all now until I decide what’s stating!)
