Teal, pink and yellow? Too much of a colour variation for me. I would at least just try and stick with only 2 main colours.

Yes too many different colours, it will never work. I would let the expensive part dictate (the cupboards) and then go for simple white tiles - they needn’t be boring and you can have them an interesting shape such as hexagonal or stacked. It will look much more stylish and give a lovely Scandi feel.

I just love this but I think the colours I have it won't work

These colours look nice.

If you’re not careful it will end up just looking like a miss match of colours, as though you’ve put no thought into it but ploughed head first into whatever you had available.

I love what you’ve done so far. The teal looks great.

I‘m not great with colour combinations myself but I have a feeling you originally chose yours for a reason and I think it could look individual and fresh.

As opposed to ‘standard‘ and boring.

I wouldn't go for teal tiles either. What have you bought that you feel you need to use (tiles)? Also, what is the blue on the lower cupboards, is it a laminate? I feel that the teal is really strong but has the potential to work with yellow in a mid century way and looks really good with lots of colours. The blush I see as the tricky bit. Blush and yellow are a bit like Battenberg and a bit sickly (like Battenberg) ( :

I agree with the battenberg comparison or party ring.

The laminate is formica in grotto. We live in a 1940s semi and wanted to have a mid century feel to our home (which is an era both hubby and I love)

Im sure I can use the blush tiles somewhere else in the house just not here :(

I can totally see where you're coming from. With your style of kitchen a bit of a discordant colour clash can actually work well, I'm just not convinced about the pink. Personally I love teal with bronze, caramels and browns. With anything like orange it will start screaming at you. You can see with the third and fourth images below the introduction of another strong colour makes it very 'active' which is maybe what you want. When I put two opposite colours together I would tend to make one dirty so teal + brown (dirty orange) etc. Have you looked at Claybrook finger tiles?

I like the pale yellow tile in your photo. I can see that work with your teal units.

I quite like the pink with the teal, but would use a dirty ochre yellow.
