Help and advice with kitchen redesign

Hi all, I really need some advice as this is not my area of expertise. I’m looking to change my kitchen, and knock down the wall inbetween the kitchen and dining room to create an open plan space. The kitchen has two doors and three windows so it’s what I’d describe as an ‘awkward‘ design for fitting the key pieces in eg hob, fridge and oven. There is also a soil pipe running down the wall next to the sink which again is a bit annoying. Does anyone have any insight into layout ideas or what you would do with the space? I think removing the wall is the right thing to open it out but then leaves less flexibility for key components

I think you could take the wall down and still fit everything you want into the kitchen, I'd be inclined to put the fridge in the middle where the breakfast bar is now and build the whole section floor to ceiling as a pantry alcove, you could then remove any other wall units and maybe put the stove in front of one window and the sink the other.

Or you could decide to do away with units along the window walls and have a double width central bar with a stove at one end (furthest from the dinning room) the sink at the other and have space for bar stools and along one side.

If you wanted to see what it would look like and plan it out first I specialise in interior designing using 3D modelling so you could explore what its like before you do anything. Ideally you could do with a kitchen retailer with their own builder. Perhaps someone can recommend someone depending on where you live. Personally I would be considering taking out the window and having French doors here. Then you would have a run of units on the two remaining walls and a bigger island in the middle

How about extending at the front opposite the conservatory? You could create a new driveway with parking space near the new front door. The extension here would make it easy to access the conservatory/sitting room without losing too much of the old sitting room which would now be a bedroom. And I think its nice to be able to see the driveway from your kitchen. The kitchen/living/diner would have tons of space for storage- you could probably include a walk-in pantry. The main problems with this are that: you've lost your walk-in wardrobe from the master bedroom to access the old utility/new bedroom- you'd need new wardrobes the family bathroom has no window- maybe a roof light would work? Not sure if this helps!

I would be tempted to take the kitchen all the way across into the current Sitting Room which will give you access into the Conservatory and garden, but by doing this would it allow you sufficient space in the current Dining Room which would then be your Lounge? If you make the kitchen/diner a big social area and have sofas in it and also perhaps in the Conservatory too then you could make the new lounge just an occassional room?

Could you switch the whole thing - have a big cupboard run on that wall with the pitched ceiling, and a nice big island where your table is. Move dining into the current kitchen area.
