I think your idea of having the table by the window is spot on. Maybe do a u shaped kitchen with an island extending into the middle of the room, you could also have a run of tall units to the right of the door, with a fridge and larder cupboard.

I think I like the idea of seating at the peninsula or island so might do without the far side cabinets apart from maybe one on each end as open shelving to hold kids books etc to start with. The window is still bothering me cos I've now noticed that it's higher than the level of the patio doors and utility door so am thinking of making it smaller. Is that something people do? Is it expensive do you know? If we made it 90cm wide as well rather than 112 then the island or peninsula might fit better with it rather than having part of the window overhanging it?? Also not sure about a sink in a 90 unit cos it takes up quite a lot of the width but do you think the length of the unit run would make up for it or if you put the sink at one end there'd be space for seating, homework etc without fear of being overrun by dirty dishes or water from splashing sink...

Hi. That door doesn't actually seem to let in much light and the current worktop and units aren't bouncing a lot of light so I'm wondering if you need a window once the wall is down? What if you extended the FF run to the end of that run adjacent to the oven and had mirrored backed shelves within a cabinet? (Hope that makes sense!)I think the light units will make a huge difference anyway and you can add a large mirror opposite the patio doors. I agree with the earlier comment re extending the peninsula under the 2nd window. I love banquettes so might lose the sofa in favour of! Here's a link. It's a way off but as you have so many doors I'd paint them all in the wall colour so they blend in. Hi all, sorry to resurface an older post but if anyone has any more pictures of a kitchen window without a sill, could you please share those? I think it would be much more convenient, easier to clean and give us more space but my other half is not convinced. His main concerned is that the window area will get "flooded" with water and will look odd/unfinished. For those of you who have that configuration, is that an issue you faced? Advices and pictures/examples would be really appreciated. Thanks
