House owners wishing to paint the external brickwork. First question I ask. Why? After all said and done, you paid loads for this home, why go and spoil it. Taking into account also your plans to paint the shed. YES ! that is an eyesore. Personally I'd refrain fro brick painting. Use the brick colour as a backdrop to say the odd bit of trellis with climbing roses or whatever. The shed, well. As a means of keeping weatherproof etc. Yes I would probably paint that a deep green, at the same time say four feet or so away from the walls. I would erect some trellis and grow climbers of sorts to hide the shed, but at the same time. This will allow space for maintenance of the shed and also provide a pleasant sight.

No problem. Sounds like you have some ideas to look at. Contemporary would work well and you can easily add a few industrial twists where blank and greys are concerned!! If you do consider changing things like French doors or windows as well.. I would ask you to consider having 3D visual model drawn up to show you the options. I find this helps many of my clients with exterior decisions. I would never buy a car or even a lipstick without seeing it first so this package allows you to see expensive items like windows and doors before committing. I have attached an example. Here's that yellow. I notice for the first time that despite the Dulux colour charts I was told to pick from, the painter has clearly gone off and got some other sort of paint for both stonework and door. Colour is good though so I don't mind. I've done a chair in the leftover yellow too.

@Roomhe3-by-Room (UK) Ltd thank you for your comment. I did a rough mock up of your suggestions on PPT and the slate tiles and dormer with grey windows makes a dramatic difference. I really like the look of it! The current concrete roof tiles we have are believed to be original from the 1950s when the bungalow was built, and if I have done my research correctly, it has to come to an end of its life span of 50 years so it may be worthwhile to redo the roof too. Would love to opt for slate tiles but have heard these are more expensive than concrete tiles. We don't have a big budget but would like to go for something similar in appearance and durability as slates at a lower cost. Is there something on the market that fits this profile like concrete roof tile in grey slate colour? This is my first building project and knowledge of materials is very limited! Thank you
