Hey!! which one you managed to install.. we are getting a Air Source Heat Pump with Underfloor heating! Fingers crossed how it will cope up to and confused with what flooring we should go with this combination - if Cold Tiles vs Not-good-transmitter Laminate/LVT !!! :(

Hello not sure if you have completed your project or not? I have a wealth of knowledge in the underfloor heating industry. This includes screed and finished floors. With mean water temperatures and thermal imaging, featured highly in our installation and commissioning service. The product selection, design, installation and commissioning of underfloor heating and final floors are critical. There's lots of myths and what ifs, and a whole host of issues that may arise if you are not advised correctly. Be aware of companies with big brand image, pushy sales reps and non qualified staff without PI insurances that hide behind suppliers so say guarantees and warranties. This could turn out to be a costly error, there's lots of issues with older ufh installations, which may be the case for the project you mentioned. Technical data and products have moved on massively. Hi there, If you looking for a real wooden floor with less maintenance we would recommend going for a lacquered finish, this can both come in a shiny lacquer and matt lacquer. When it comes to the lacquered finish the board would not even need to be consider sanded and revarnished for at least 10 year. After the 10 years this does not mean it needs to be done. This would be down to your personal preference. We have a couple of options in the Brushed and Lacquered whitewashed boards. Trying to be unbiased....lol.... Check your ceiling heights, underfloor often is a great option if you have lower ceilings and good insulation but in Victorian properties with 3m high ceilings for example, underfloor is unlikely to meet the heat output require. Also bear in mind reaction times, underfloor takes hours rather than minutes to heat up so you should have it on all the time in theory even if just on low. My parents have a Victorian house and have electric underfloor in their basement kitchen/diner, but have a small vertical radiator with hooks on for tea towels and a traditional style column radiator as well. They have the radiators on most of the time as per their central heating programming but they "turn the floor on" when they are planning on doing loads of laundry or its really cold (like today!); it does really speed up drying times. It definitely feels nice having it under the tiles They don't have it on all the time as it is expensive to run. So if you are doing the whole house and decide to go with underfloor, I would definitely try and go for the central heating underfloor as the running costs would be very expensive if electric.
