I prefer the mustard colour as I think it will coordinate nicely with the floor you described. The green tiles are beautiful but I think the room might end up looking cold with them.

Thank your pjdklm for responding , I do like the mustard colour, I just worry that with the gold accessories it might be a bit of yellowy overload. But you’re right the teal tiles might make it look a bit cold.

I like the mustard but I’d go for a more striking patterned tile to break up all the blocks of colour (units, worktop, floor) I’d also go for a lighter green if you’re keen in thr green tile. something much lighter than your cabinets.

Thanks Wumi! Unfortunately we can’t find any other colour we both like. I don’t want any bold patterns, but we did look at some lightly patterned tiles we both liked, however they were way out of our price range. Hence why our choice is now limited to these two. We spent the whole afternoon in different tile shops, but couldn’t come up with anything else

I prefer the teal although it is quite dark. I would go a few shades lighter. I like hexagonal tiles too. They come in white and many other colours. Stacked tiles look cool too, where the tiles at stacked on top of one another.

In that case, I go with the teal, in a stacked or herrinbone pattern with light grout - white, pink, gold with gold trim.

Have you looked at Lampas in ToppsTiles? I have it in my WC with blush grout, gorgeous variety of subtly patterned tiles in a similar colour 30cm x 7.5cm.

Thanks Sonia, I do like your suggestions of hexagonal tiles, but I can’t find a colour both my husband and I like. We even thought to just go safe with off white tiles, but I would like it to have a nice colour to break up the white and grey. Although I do worry that the teal colour is fairly cool, so might end up looking cold. Wumi, I’ve never considered gold grout, didn’t even know it existed. I can’t see any proper gold grout online though, it’s mostly glitter to add to a white grout. But the husband didn’t like it too much. The lampas range tiles are lovely too. I might need to go back to the tile shops to see if there is anything else

So, we’ve just been to more tile shops again and as the mustard tiles are out of stock and end of the line, we’ve gone for the topps tile zellica ocre tile. Thank you all for all your input, it’s very much appreciated.
