Hello Rinreation, thank you very much for your ideas. They are brilliant! It is great to have an idea of how it could look like. Downstairs: Master bedroom: I think the space between the wall and column is smaller than 2.30. From what I checked before I would be able to just about fit a bed the other way around against the existing wall. I will check again. Guest bedroom: I will also check measures for the proposed guest room. It looks like this room would be around 6.35 sqm. Office: Perfect if we do split the room this way. Bathroom: I really like your idea! Unfortunately, my partner is saying that we might not be in this place for about 2 years. So he is a little reluctant to change the bathroom. Could you imagine splitting this room in any different way? It is fairly easy and cheap to create the walls, so my partner is up for it. Kitchen: we are going to pull all water connections upstairs for the kitchen. I though of having a quite modern kitchen. I will post some images from Houzz. Hello `Sarah, I think the kitchen is fantastic!!! Please keep it!!! So I have some suggestions.. I think it has some great elements.. The design and colour of the cupboards plus those tiles are really fabulous, also love the floor too.. I'd keep it all!!! The top cupboards are gr8 without glass and your image is very different and dare I say not nearly so interesting.. Maybe you can celebrate the uniqueness of it! Minnie is right to suggest moving the cabinets closer to the ceiling (it has been lowered in part but I would leave it as is) easily done without damage and you can move the boiler in line with them.. .. This is a gr8 idea as it will feel a little more open and spacious.. you could then paint above the tiles a lovely warm chalky white or off white.. and any other wall areas.. It will balance the units out and I would definitely keep the colour the same here top and bottom... If you don't want to change the current configuration too much and keep costs down, I would buy a free standing chrome range oven like Smeg dual fuel and extractor Aeg angled hood and fit in same place as current oven.. Dualit toaster and kettle Bugatti Vera in chrome.. Angled extractor hood Aeg and a smeg 50's white fridge would be nice here too! With the fridge I feel it could stand at the end of the counter top.. Leave the sink exactly as it is and the boiler too, all you then need to do is put a cabinet shell and door on the front of the opening where fridge was and paint it and the bits of cabinet that are white to the shade of yellow and voila! Anther storage space for the dishwasher. I would move that metal shelf or add another if you like it.. .. Add a polycarbonate pendant Creatures by Nigel Coates which would look amazing with the kitchen.. Also the kitchen is definitely not past it!!! (added that bit after reading the comment further down) : ))

Hi. I mean the wall with the utility door. I see where you are going with the symmetry for the wall with the aga, but I would make that tall end unit a pantry or place for serving plates, etc. and have the integrated fridge where you currently have the wood upper cabinet. I've been looking at your Ideabook and reading the aga discussion (I'm way behind minnie!) and I see what you are trying to achieve. But none of them have the same layout. When the feature aga corbel wall exists, it doesn't have an induction hob right next to it or it doesn't have a solid wall at the end (one of them is amazing with their deep cupboards either side but there is nowhere to put anything!). Do you have roof lights over the kitchen? Unless you have a giant lantern skylight and lots of under-cabinet lighting planned, please don't have black countertops. Apart from the fact that none of the kitchens in your Ideabook have dark counters, I come from a place of experience. I used to have a massive, terribly planned, kitchen with lovely black granite counters. Not only could only one person work in it even though it was the size of a dance floor, but the lights had to be on all the time and it was really depressing. And as there will be a dining table nearby to take in your beautiful garden, the island perches will be there to keep the cook(s) company, so facing in on the kitchen is perfect.

This is my only living space, so looking to have a dining table, sofa, coffee table, chair etc. In the picture where you can see my kitchen - to the right, I have three windows, and behind me is just a bare wall with a radiator.
