Kitchen splashback ideas??

Hi,
We have recently finished building works on our house renovation. New kitchen fitted, loads of cosmetic work still to be done, but we are struggling for splashback ideas. We did originally think tiles, but we are swaying towards a glass/pattern design? We didn't purchase the worktop upstands either, as we were going to tile, and don't want to purchase if not needed!. Any ideas for this type of kitchen would be greatly appreciated :-)

If it was my kitchen (and mostly because I'm a messy cook) I would be inclined to tile (or glass backsplash) anywhere that might need to be wiped down-e.g. behind cooker, along any counters where I might be doing any food prep. This gives you plenty of options-you could tile behind cooker and counters in metro/subway tiles, but be careful as it could look busy with the granite and wood grain of kitchen-it will depend on the grout. Comments (23)We're redoing our kitchen shortly and are having these copper leaf tiles from Original Style as our backsplash - we couldn't find a made to measure copper leaf glass backsplash maker and pure copper sheeting I didn't want as I don't want the patina effect as it ages (or the upkeep!). We've seen these tiles and they're gorgeous - Original Style have a great range of other similar ones too.
