Comments (12)I do like the OnePlan en-suite option but it would be very, very small for an en-suite and I'd have to dig up the floor to add another toilet, all of which can be avoided if I just leave the downstairs bathroom as it is....I have guests who stay regularly and no one has complained yet. I think this would be an unnecessary expense, love to do it but must be mindful of my budget. I definitely agree that it would be less annoying and more private for my guests to access the bathroom and their bedroom off of the hallway and not the living/dining room, so I shall try and come up with something else for coat storage. kikiamack Unfortunately there is not enough space even when making the double doors into a single to squeeze coat storage into the corner :(...See MoreIdeas please for ground floor plan
Comments (10)Your home currently looks good and there's nothing majorly wrong with it. You may find that for now, you want to inject some of your own personality decorative g wise but leave any structural work. I'd definitely do as Carolina has suggested by living in it and seeing how you use the space. You may find that things may not work for you whilst others do. This will allow you to make effective and efficient changes. I like how there's a few steps to the lower level. I wish we had been brave enough in our renovation to create internal steps to have a more efficient outside which doesnt Descend drastically. All the best....See Morebrain twister - floor levels problem
Comments (4)What's on top of the 224cm room? Just a flat roof? How old is your house? As 186cm doors would be a no go. My advice would be the hard one: Take out the floors and insulate the flat roof externally*. If you don't want to take out the floor, take off the entire flat roof and add some wall height (or is it terraced?). This would also mean enlarging your doorframes, which would probably need to meet up to building code (if the house is not listed) as you're renewing them. And don't forget heating and electrical pipes.. I don't have a clue what either of these options would cost, I'd say get quotes first. (* there are several ways to do this, google them, because I don't know the exact english terms for the different techniques..) https://www.designingbuildings.co.uk/wiki/Floor_insulation...See MoreHelp with decor ideas please!
Comments (6)Well! I bought the tiles online and they were on a wall.. However, i Now wish I’d put them in the floor.. as it is. I had planned to paint panels Little Greene ‘Hicks Blue’. But once they were up, I thought white was best. So, the wall above the panels is a lightened down shade of Hicks.. lol! So many testers I decided to do my own colour creating! when that’s done, I’ll decide on the blank wall x...See MoreHaysey Design & Consultancy Ltd
