Do ceiling & wall lights have to match?

Hi we redecorating the living room & have low ceilings so lighting is always a bit tricky. I have a triple pendant in hall & wonder if they would suit. Also like the John Lewis Harmony light but they don’t have wall light to match. Any advice greatly appreciated 🙏

Comments (4)You could try Jim Lawrence, they do lots of really beautiful lighting and have so many finishes to choose from so even if the pendant and wall lights aren't in exactly the same 'range' you can make sure the colour or finish matches so they tie in. With regard to the shade of blue, I stalked a decorater round my local paint store while he was talking on the phone to his client trying to persuade her to go for Little Greenes Bone China Blue Faint in her bathroom against her white porcelain bathroom suite. He didn’t suceed but I liked it so much I’m going to use it in my bathroom. Comments (10)i can't have surface mounted ones really as it's all lathe and plaster ceiling so is going to be hard work. There is already a cable for a strip light so we can have one pendant or bar light in there which would light most of the kitchen run and then we have the hood for lighting over the hob which I always use. And I'm going to try and get the light switch changed to a 3 way so I can have something over the table area separate (switched wall light hanging one) or as suggested, a plug in one I can hook over the table which would give softer lighting. Would I be better handing the bar light in line with the oven ie in the walkway of the units and angling the lights towards the units rather than having it over the back kitchen run?...See More

Hi just wondering if anyone had any advice on whether grey or neutral shade colour would match wall lights. I’m thinking grey but I do like the warmth of neutral as I could put an Edison vintage bulb in. Any thoughts? Thank you 🙏
