From everything i've heard its click flooring so it should be just as straight forward as laying laminate flooring which is a good sign, as for brands to be perfectly honest with you paying more doesn't mean its better, i would go for mid range or just go for whoever has a design you like and can actually feel or see in person so you can see the thickness and the details in the top layer

Thank you for your reply. We've been doing a lot of research and found another type of flooring called SPC. According to an article we found, it's very similar to LVT so we have ordered a few samples the Bentley and a few samples of Karndean and Amtico to compare quality. I'll keep you posted on what we choose.

I have the Eternity brand of LVT fitted in my kitchen and it’s brilliant. My son has a different brand but it’s not one of the more well known and expensive brands. Personally I wouldn’t pay for a well known branded name if the cost was substantially higher.

We had ours fitted by a flooring company as it does need fitting correctly. I watched him lay it and there is a knack.

I steam mop mine. LVT is suggested for bathrooms.

Thanks for your input Daisy, Yeah I think the less known brands are just as good. We'll see what these samples are like. I do like the idea of being able to steam mop them to give them a thorough clean. I have heard LVT is a bit of a specialist floor to fit so I'll see what I can find on YouTube and maybe attempt the downstairs loo first.
