Its funny but I am liking the darker shades more and more. Always used to go for pastels but my tastes are evolving! The matchcards in your earlier pic, on the table, seem to be much lighter than the later pic with the fabric, not sure why. The middle colour, Paradise Found, seems to match the flower in the fabric very well so it would work. But I must be honest I love the two greeny blues more. They are very similar to Inchyra Blue by F&B. Would you go all over? I think with white shutters and white woodwork it would look stunning. Here’s a pic of Inchyra Blue so you can see how similar it is, but a little darker?

I love Inchyra Blue, a lovely mix of green and blue. I’m not familiar with Plummett apart from the colour chart, so can’t comment in that. A neutral for the other walls which may go are Strong White or Ammonite, but there are loads you could choose.

Grey goes with so many colours so it depends very much on what you are drawn to as well. The rule of thumb being match cool greys with other cooler colours such as blue, pale greens and cool white. And match darker grey tones with warm tones such as burnt orange, mustard, and teal. But you can go soft pinks as well which give a lovely warm vibe too and work with sage green accessories. I think you need to plan out the room before a paint brush is even picked up. Create a mood board with paint colours, bedding and furniture. The painting should ideally be chosen last to fit around the furniture and bedding, those items are expensive, paint isn’t. I am a huge fan of green in a bedroom as it is so restful. Team it with white bedding, a throw in green or pink, some pretty cushions in green/pink and white bedside tables etc. I have Cromarty in a NE room and it never feels cold or dark. Taupe shades can look good but in a darker room they can look a bit brown. Dulux Egyptian Cotton or some of the F&B neutrals can look good. If you paint samples onto A4 card and stick them with blu tack at different places will help you gauge the colours at different times of day. This is Cromarty.
