hiya, so the only other real position option is for you to do a 180 with the bed and go the other side of the room. Now i know that would mean as you said for the built in wardrobes to suddenly stop towards the door which you were'nt sure about so i did find some images to give you a visual. Naturally this is entirely your choice but i don't think this option is too bad, you get a little more natural light. But depending on the type of doors you use and direction of sun light you might want to check this as if its at an angle to you, and you had mirrored doors you could get some sun reflection at you during summer months.

I think it depends on what is more important for you, storage or the bed not being visible. A narrower bed in the current position would give you better access into the room and beside the bed. If you move the bed you have less storage and you have to walk around the bed to access the ensuite, would that be an issue? If you do move the bed then I would suggest that the side of the wardrobe facing the door is the same colour at the far wall with the window and then visually you would lose it, or hang a big picture that gives you a feature. And even though they seem out of fashion at the moment I'd go for mirrored wardrobe doors with as narrow a frame as possible so that you maximum light in the room.

I agree with moving the door of the ensuite. The door wastes one wall. Lovely to be in bed looking out through the double windows. Wardrobes to the right as you enter with a full length mirror on the end so you don't just see a blank end, but your beautiful self! Helps with reflected light, too.

If you keep everything as it is, could you have two shallow floating shelves instead of a bedside table and a wall light? You could then probably reduce the space taken up by 50% or more. If not and you put the bed on the opposite side, how about the end of the wardrobe being an integral shelving unit for books and decorative bits and pieces? Moving the door of the ensuite would make a lovely view from the bed but I'm not sure whether you could put the wardrobe on the left hand wall and it would mean reconfiguring the en-suite.
