How about a floor lamp in the corner opposite the door with an armchair & bookshelf / storage unit next to it along the right hand wall then a sofa opposite (with the back to the window. A rug and / or a coffee table in between to create a more defined sitting area? The dining table could then fit behind the sofa by the windows. It looks like a gorgeous, light & airy space - congratulations on your move!

Hi we would consider the table size as this is the object you are lighting and framing and not the clock when setting out, we would recommend diving the pendant positions based on the centre of the light and the edge of the table: half equal, equal, half equal. I agree with the other comment that 3 would look better but if you would prefer 2, stick to these dimensions, so the first pendant would be positioned 60cm from the edge then 120cm to the next pendant then 60cm to the table edge. I suppose it depends on how much additional storage you need. I think upper cabinets with doors would be more intrusive. Open shelves would be less so as you can still see the wall but you're obviously more limited to what you put on them Why don't you mock something up to see how it works in reality (a clothes maiden on its side etc to the depth of the cabinets you would use)
